Here is offered a beautiful 1965 Pontiac GTO. GTO, Italian for Grand Torismo Omologato, and it means to basically grandly tour in a competitive, homologated sports car. Enzo Ferrari gave us the acronym. Pontiac ‘borrowed’ it and honestly, complemented it with history and performance. A complete and thorough review of the cosmetics and mechanicals was performed by a third-party inspector and it is a nice car!  According to it’s owner “She’s more than just a driver, she’s a performer. Sure a few items might need attending, but her bones, quality and apparent care bring function to her beauty.” Currently powered by a 400 cid V8, it is not the original motor to the car. The performance is crisp and precise with all new ball joints, bushings and added front disc brakes. Her frame has been inspected and found to be in excellent condition. A new steering box also supports driver quality. Shifting is done through a Muncie 4spd manual. Burgundy vinyl clads the interior and is noted as just excellent. Window operation is good. Dash and gauge cluster look fabulous and all gauges, but for speedo, are functioning properly. Center console and bucket seat greet the driver with confidence and when you see those three pedals and that chrome stick, it’s game on. The Burgundy paint and brightwork, really bring those stunning Goat lines out, showing off the stacked headlights and all that is Pontiac to beauty. Chrome and brightwork are noted as very good to excellent. A new, electric-operated top was recently installed and the function is tight and right. Glass is original and reported to be in very good condition. Not much is known about her early days, but it is safe to say she’s had a pampered life. Purchased by our Owner through a classic car dealer located in Chicago in 2019, he knew some items needed to be addressed. Our Owner actually knew this car when it was in Florida! He also knew that a solid, unmolested, unadulterated beauty was in his sights. So our Owner purchased this beauty, made some quality repairs and now she’s ready for the road.

Looks like weld spots on the frame where the body bushing is, any other frame weld work done?

No other places. That spot seemed just a little weak so I had it repaired.
